Pandora

Welcome to Pandora media, this site has been created by me, Lewis May, to record my progress over the course of Media. I have had previous experience with media software in the past, with Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. I have used other types of editing software like Mixcraft and  Sony Vegas Pro 12 so switching to Premier Pro was unusual at first but took to it quite rapidly as I feel all the Adobe software has a somewhat similar layout so having experience with the others I found it easy to find my way around. I really enjoy using editing software, manipulating Images, audio and videos to my own personal way; hence my strong interest in the subject.

I have a lot of interest in media like film, music and art. I enjoy and appreciate all different types of each, however I do favour a particular field in each. For example in film I enjoy nearly all types of genres but I do tend to favour a specific category which a lot of my favourite movies fall into. For example my top picks for best cinematic experience for me has to be titles like Shutter Island directed by Martin Scorsese and Inception and Interstellar directed my favourite director Christopher Nolan who has done other large titles like the Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige and also his most recent film Dunkirk, all of which are also in my top film choices. If not understood already I enjoy really well thought out films with a lot of thinking and meaning behind every scene and moment, I enjoy films that have you leaving the cinema with your mild melted because a problem I find with most movies nowadays is that they lack that factor and are very easy to determine the plot early on which ruin the experience, hence why I appreciate Christopher Nolan so much as each film I watch leaves me speechless and in awe.

My music Taste varies a lot as I tend to change my opinion over time, for example I will enjoy heavy rock for a while then go to mellow music, then to indie and so on. However there are some artists that I continuously listen to no matter what phase, these artists go by the names of Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Twenty One Pilots and Nothing But Thieves. What I find I enjoy about these individual artists is how they all stand out from other artists, an example of this would be Muse, their sound is so unique due to their sheer expertise in music writing and performing that you will never get another similar sounding band in history, that and their communication and friendship just makes their overall performance faultless. I enjoy Arctic monkeys because their unique sound and their all familiar accent as they are fairly local. Talking of fairly local, I enjoy Twenty One Pilots due to such a strong and powerful meaning behind their lyrics, that and their large variety of different styles of music just makes each listen and adventure of feelings.
